Marcia Shurer, president of Culinary Connections, a Chicago-based food consulting company, has written FitDelicious, which is aimed at both consumers and retailers and contains more than 250 recipes and more than 100 nutrient data charts.

The book is part of an easy-to-follow weight loss and healthy lifestyle shopping and eating program that is designed for implementation in retail outlets.

Schurer says the system is intended to create customer loyalty by enticing shoppers to visit stores each week to learn what new FitDelicious prepared products and recipes are available

The program, she adds, also will enable supermarkets to better compete with foodservice locations by helping shoppers make healthier meal choices while streamlining meal planning and preparation.

Visit www.fitdelicious.com to learn more about the system or to order books.
