The IDDBA Names John Sullivan President

John Sullivan, president and chief executive officer of Stamford, Conn.-based Norseland Inc., is the new president of the Madison, Wis.-based International Dairy-Deli-Bakery Association (IDDBA).

Sullivan, who has been an IDDBA officer and served on the board of directors for seven years, succeeds Ray Burke, president of the In-Store Bakery & Foodservice Division of Buffalo, N.Y.-based Rich Products Corp. Burke continues to serve on the IDDBA board of directors.

Other new officers for 2009-2010 are: Executive Vice President—Mark Rudy, vice president of sales, Hubert Co., Harrison, Ohio; Vice President—Steve Beekhuizen, senior vice president of sales, Dawn Food Products Inc., Denver; Treasurer—Voni Woods, senior director of deli, Giant Eagle Inc., Harmony, Pa. Beekhuizen and Woods also were elected to serve three-year terms on the board of directors.

Other persons elected to the board are John Cheesman, regional vice president of sales, Maplehurst Bakeries LLC, Brownsburg, Ind.; Rick Goodman, president/owner, Stillwater Provisions, Smithfield, Va.; Bill Klump, vice president of marketing, Butterball LLC, Garner, N.C.; Ed Meyer, vice president of meat, deli, seafood and prepared foods, Schnuck Markets Inc., St Louis; J.K. Symancyk, executive vice president of merchandising, Meijer Inc., Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Dotty VanderMolen, director of deli/bakery, Western Michigan, Mascari Sales & Marketing, Grand Rapids, Mich.

Board members continuing to serve are: Judy Bequette, corporate vice president of Bakery & Coffee Bar, Supervalu Inc., Eden Prairie, Minn.; Mark Brown, president, Orval Kent, Wheeling, Ill.; Kevin Delahunt, president—Food Service Division, Sargento Foods Inc., Plymouth, Wis.; Mike Farrand, vice president of deli development, Hormel Foods Corp., Austin, Minn.; David Leonhardi, director of foodservice and education, Wisconsin Milk Marketing Board, Madison, Wis.; Brian Lime, director of sales, Land O’ Lakes Inc., Brandon, Fla.; Sean Moran, director of sales, Schreiber Foods Inc., Bentonville, Ark.; Robert Nectow, vice president of deli and prepared foods merchandising, The Stop & Shop Supermarket Co., Assonet, Mass.; Judy Page, director of business development—Vaughan Foods Inc., Allison’s Gourmet Kitchens, Moore, Okla.; Dave Peterson, vice president of retail sales, BelGioioso Cheese Inc., Denmark, Wis.; Greg Schlafer, vice president and general manager, General Mills Bakeries & Foodservice, Minneapolis, Minn.; Jerry Slater, national client services director, deli/regional director Midwest, Acosta Fresh Foods, Grand Rapids, Mich.; and Philippe Surget, president, Lactalis Deli, Lactalis American Group, New York, N.Y.
