Zebu Forno Introduces New Menu Design
May 8, 2008
RED BANK, N.J., May 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Zebu Forno, the European-style
bakery and cafe, has introduced a newly-designed menu that incorporates
elements of the chain's eclectic store design and graphics, along with
recently introduced menu items.
"Our new menu brings together the design elements that make Zebu Forno
unique and inviting, including New Jersey artist Gregg Hinlicky's murals
celebrating great artists of the past and a continuation of the colors and
graphics used throughout our stores," explained Andrew Gennusa, president of
Red Bank-based Zebu Forno Franchise LLC.
Menu items listed on the center-spread of the 8-1/2-inch x 14-inch,
eight-panel piece are super-imposed over a photo of the sidewalk cafe at the
company's flagship Red Bank, N.J. location, topped by a band of vignettes from
Hinlicky's 'great artists' series. On the other spread, the listing of
beverages, baked goods and gelatos is superimposed over Hinlicky's version of
'American Gothic,' in which the farmer holds a Zebu travel mug and his wife a
Zebu bag filled with baked goods.
Along with murals by Hinlicky, the eclectic atmosphere of all Zebu
locations is rounded out by such features as rustic wood plank floors, exposed
brick walls, table and easy chair seating, a ceiling design that is two-thirds
exposed, low voltage track lighting, flat screen TVs, satellite music, and
free Wi-Fi.
"The menu redesign also allowed for the inclusion of our newest menu
additions, Focaccia Pizza and French Toast, both of which debuted in our
stores in January," added Gennusa.
In addition to items available for dining-in or takeout, the new menu
lists four catering offerings (Continental Breakfast, Soup Station, Salad
Party Platters and Sandwich Party Platters), as well as 'Zebu Gear'
merchandise.
Zebu Forno's menu features fresh-baked breads, muffins, bagels, and
pastries; breakfast sandwiches; omelets; homemade soups; handmade thin-crust
and Focaccia pizzas; Panini sandwiches, wraps and other hot and cold
sandwiches served on home-baked breads; fresh salads; quiche; gelato; fresh
fruit cups; espresso drinks; a variety of coffees and teas; and a soft drink
selection that includes Boylan's soda on tap. All menu items and baked goods
are available for takeout, augmented by a selection of pastas, sauces, olive
oils, other grocery items, and Zebu mugs and accessories that are merchandised
throughout the store.
The menu redesign dovetailed with the recent opening of Zebu Forno's third
New Jersey cafe in Hoboken that joined the company-owned location that opened
in 2001 in downtown Red Bank and a franchised location at The Commons at
Holmdel lifestyle center that was unveiled in 2007. The company plans to
develop into a regional chain with 15 to 20 franchised locations in New Jersey
and eastern Pennsylvania over a three to five-year period.
