Gold’n Plump Poultry, St. Cloud, Minn., is rolling out two whole chicken alternatives, Marinated Butterfly and All Natural‘ Whole Rotisserie, in response to growing consumer interest in convenience and health.

Marinated Butterfly Chicken, which is cut along the keel bone and spread flat, can hold such stuffed ingredients as potatoes, rice, beans, plantains and bread, the company notes.

The broad surface also allows for a more evenly cooked product and reduces cooking time for a whole chicken from 90 minutes to approximately 45 minutes, the company states.

All Natural‘ Whole Rotisserie Chicken has no added salt, water, carageenan (seaweed extract) or other binding agents.
